Immunology and types of immunology; innate and adaptive immunity.
The immunity definition could be “The ability of an organism to resist
a particular infection or toxin by the action of specific antibodies or sensitized
white blood cells”
Immune system is present in the body to protect body from foreign
objects such as pathogens and other
microbes.
Immune system protects our body and is comprised of a system
containing cells, vessels and organs.
Sometimes, an error occurs because of the autoimmune disease
in which immune system mistakenly attacks on healthy tissues as foreign bodies
and start acting on it further it contributes to a diseases.
So most important function of this is to protect body
Immune system
It consists of a whole system called lymphatic system having
vessels and a fluid runs in these vessels called as lymph.
Basically, white blood cells act on foreign bodies to
protect the body and these wbc’s run in blood and this lymphatic system as
well.
We’ll further disscuss about white blood cells, but firstly
we’ll look into parts of this system.
Which are,
a.
White blood cells
b.
Thymus
c.
Spleen
d.
Appendix
e.
Bone marrow
f.
Lymph nodes
When white blood cells get information about any foreign body
they attack on it to destroy it and multiply further. White blood cells are
stored in different organs which are called as lymphoid organs.
Such as,
a.
Thymus
b.
Spleen
c.
Bone marrow
d.
Lymph nodes
e.
Tonsils, appendix
Immune response
This concept is totally an understanding about the antigen
and antibody.
Antigen
It is the foreign body such as any virus, bacteria or any
other pathogen or maybe fungus.
Antibody
It is the attacker or body produced by the body itself in
response to this antigen to protect the body.
And this antibody acts against the antigen to kill it and protect the body.
What are the types of immunology?
There are three types of immunity present in the human body
a. Innate immunity
b. Adaptive immunity
c. Passive immunity
What are the cells
immunology?
Helper T-cells are the most important in the adaptive
immunity of a human body.
When they get a signal of any infection because of any foreign
body in the body, they may activate cytotoxic t-cells or B cells which further
produces antibodies to fight with the antigens.
What are the 5 types of immune cells?
There are 5 types of
immune cells antibodies
Which are,
a.
IgG
b.
IgA
c.
IgM
d.
IgD
e.
IgE
What are T-cells and B-cells?
These are 2 lymphocytes.
B cells are used to
produce antibodies which further kills foreign bodies which could be virus,
bacteria, fungus or maybe any other pathogen.
While T-cells are the
cells which kill body’s own tissues or cells which were holded by the foreign body
and is now effected too.
Immunology and allergy
Immunology and allergy could be related as the infection to the body could
be the result of any allergy because of any subject.
